I am assuming you are referring to VHF Radios. Furuno makes great radars! Radios on the other hand... As a matter of fact, the FM3000 is actually made by ICOM and labeled Furuno. I would recommend the ICOM M504 or the Uniden 525 or 625.

I would stick with the Icom or Standard Horizon--Agree that Furuno makes excellent Radars--and that is what I buy--but Icom is the go to for VHF radio (SSB and Ham as well)

Stick with Furuno for radar and fishfinders.

Icom for the vhf.

Furuno FM3000 is a 're-badged' ICOM, only costs MORE! Stay with ICOM or STANDARD for your vhf. Anything else is Mickey Mouse- especially Uniden.

Speaking of VHFs:
Would be interesting to hear from anyone using a new Standard Quest-X GX1500S.
ClassD DSC, great specs at a great price (~$150)...
