Default garmin 22 sounder

Looking for sum opinions here. I am currently installing electronics on my boat which is the garmin bundle with the 22 digital sounder/ xm weather/ and network expander. I am installing these items inside the console. I was wondering if anyone with this system knew of the heat output from the sounder and xm weather/radio receiver. Also I am limited with space and the way I have it laid out now, I have the sounder and weather receiver facing down (upside down with the fins facing down) to the open air space in the console. I was wondering if anyone knew if mounting these units this way would effect anything.

I mounted a gsd 22 in the red space along with the rest of the network - no problems going on a year or so...
