Default Garmin GFS-10 and older fuel sensors for Fuel Management Gauge?

I have twin 1996 Yamaha SWS II (carbed) 225hps with the round style Yamaha gauges. I have the fuel management gauge and two fuel flow sensors that will tell my GPH per motor but not MPG. I know I can do the calculation myself but having it displayed on my Garmin with fuel level would be pretty neat. Can I run to of my current sensors in line with two GFS-10? Or can the GFS-10 also feed my Yamaha fuel management gauge?

I don't understand that - do you not have the FM gauge receiving boat speed input?
with that, you will get MPG
what model Garmin do you have - speed can come from that to the Yamaha gauge

The Yamaha flow sensors can't feed info to the Garmin.
The GFS-10s can't feed flow info to the Yamaha gauge.
You can install GFS-10s in addition to the Yamaha flow sensors.

.

Thanks for letting me know I can run both sensors on each motor. Even more thanks for letting me know my gauges may get me the info I need already!

My Garmin is the Echomap Plus 94SV. Not sure if Yamaha offered multiple models of the gauges but mine are round.

The Echomap has NMEA 0183 output of speed;
Tthere is a lead coming off the back of the Yamaha gauge for NMEA 0183 speed input.

you connect a wire, make a few menu settings in the Garmin,
and the Yamaha gauge will be able to display MPG.

If you install the GFS-10s on a NMEA 2000 backbone with the Garmin,
In addition to seeing flow rate / MPG,
the Garmin will maintain a 'virtual fuel gauge':

you input how many gallons whenever you add fuel,
it automatically subtracts as you use fuel
and continuously displays the "Total fuel on board" -

also calculates 'range' at the current MPG.
