Default repacking

I'm looking at a used liferaft It needs repacking. Is there a maximumamount of times a raft can be repacked? don't want to buy and then be told its no longer packable.

Thanks for the post. It really depends on the manufacturer and model of the life raft. Before purchasing a preowned life raft, ask for the manufacture date and date of last inspection. If it is 5 or more years since the last inspection, the cost to re-certify it may not be worth purchasing it. You can always contact us with that information to get a general idea of inspection costs.

I just had my Revere offshore 6 man repacked. It was the 1st repack for this raft and the cost was 2/3 of the cost of a new one. I almost told them to keep it I was so pissed. Beware of the cost of repack. I got an estimate and the cost was double that. Some BS about an updated strobe etc etc, but once it is inflated they got you.
