Default International Marine customer service

Before I write my review I want to make it clear I was not asked or given any incentives by International marine to write this post. Also I know this thread may be moved I have a feeling its posted in the wrong place. I thought we had a vender talk area on the site, but I could not find it. This review is positive and may be a long read. I am a wordy writer.

For about three years I have been doing business with International Marine (IM). I think my largest transaction was some trim tabs. No matter how small the order I am treated like a high dollar customer. most marine shops i have been to have a totally different way of business. While at those other shops I feel the level of customer service is based on the amount of money on the table. IM is different the customer support and service has never flexed based on the money or even how busy the shop or boat show booth is when I call or show up. I never have felt rushed at IM.

My experience last week at IM truly supports my beliefs in IM’s grate customer service. I took a family friend over to see Mike. My friend Jerry needed some paint for his skeg. Jerry needed the paint ASAP and did not want to deal with overnighting the paint. As always IM had the part or in this case the paint.

My thought before walking in the door was we will be in and out in just a few minutes. I figured Mike or who ever was working in the office would hand us the paint and we would pay and leave. I could not have been more wrong. Mike took the time and talked with us for quite some time. We sat down and just started talking like 3 people hanging out at someone’s home. I really cant think of a shop Marine or other industry that would take as much time as Mike did out of his day when the customer was only buying a $18 product.

Thanks Mike and everyone els that works at IM. Even tho I might go months with out buying anything from you, you always treat me right and are there for me. I do most of my boat projects on strict timelines and IM has always gotten me what I neede on time. Also its grate having a local shop that is willing to answer all my questions. Just this past week while at the shop Mike helped me trouble Shute problems with my speakers/amp.

to conclude I just want to say thanks. I look forward to working with IM for years to come. It will be years before i am able to afford a new outboard, but international marine is at the top of my list.

I have a repower scheduled for next week. Looking forward to this kind of experience. Thank you for posting and getting me even more excited.

I have purchased about $10,000 worth of electronics from IM, they have been great. I was buying from Brian at BOE Marine, but when he moved to IM, I switched as well.

Gotta agree, I’ve known Mike for years and always over the top service with all of the Garmin year Ive bought etc. Not done yet ! Great site supporter and Mike & crew does what it takes every time.

Mike's a good guy. I enjoy stopping over there and BSing with them. It's cool to look at all they have going on. I haven't been over there in a while. Might have to pop over.
