PRESS RELEASE October 10th, 2018
CMOR Mapping expands coverage, releasing biggest chart update yet.
Ft. Lauderdale, Florida — CMOR Mapping’s recent release shows a promising future for expanded coverage and more data on one card - taking their charts to a whole new level. What was originally a unique card offering some of Jacksonville, Florida’s best deep drop fishing charts now includes near shore data in North East Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. CMOR Mapping has recently been featured and supported by notable vessels on the TV show “Wicked Tuna” and supported by thousands across the world.Current Coverage Map (pictured)

CMOR Mapping offers high resolution charts that provide a visual of the ocean floor, on your chart plotter and is a licensed mapping partner of Navico (parent company to Simrad, Lowrance, and B&G, Raymarine and of Mercury VesselView) with solutions for Garmin. This eliminates the need for waypoints and allows the user to know exactly where and what they are fishing or diving.
With planned releases including hundreds of miles in the Mid Atlantic (Delaware coast, through Ocean City, MD, Virginia, and Chesapeake) and continuous coverage of inshore data - CMOR Mapping is dedicated to developing total coverage of the United States and beyond.
Visit the CMOR Team at the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show this October for the unveiling of the South Florida Chart —Featuring coverage from Key West to Jensen Beach with new wrecks and grounds for divers and anglers to encounter a variety of species and depths.
What this means for future releases and updates - CMOR Mapping offers free card updates to those who purchased their card within 60 days, or $100 for those outside of the grace period.
Outside of Charts CMOR Mapping is the only company providing a portable chart plotter that allows you to mount their charts anywhere with 12v power. The CMOR Map Pak was developed for users with vessels without advanced electronic setups and boats with Garmin and Furuno Electronics.
Don’t miss your opportunity to take advantage of the best charts on the water. More fish, less fuel - CMOR Mapping.

They get there info from noaa. here is a link to the viewer. https://maps.ngdc.noaa.gov/viewers/bathymetry/. Un check all boxes and check in BAG COLOR SHADED RELIEF. CMOR basically puts it on a card and sells it at a very high price. A programmer on this site has claimed he achieved the same result from the raw data . I'm not knocking them because they are the only one doing this as far as I know. Just too much for me for limited areas which can be studied for free.

any solutions for Garmin that do not include buying a navico plotter?

When do you think South Jersey/Maryland and out to the Canyons will be released? (Or at least South Jersey?) If its because of not enough data am sure members on here would help provide data if there is a way (I know I would)

I think the data is great it shows all the holes, ledges etc.. It comes from NOAA so I don't expect any data soon for different areas.
I have been playing around with it and managed to get the data (for free) but the amount of data per sq mile is huge and needs to be converted to 3D image.
Since to coverage is so small I don't see benefit for me yet. Besides its not compatible for my Garmin yet.

Agreed. The charts are 800$ for an area that’s not even fully complete. It’s stupid. I would never buy this project unless it was for a COMPLETE region and was like 650$ less. Honestly if you need this to fish then you shouldn’t be fishing. This might be illegal because it’s commercial use of the maps and they are making a profit. Will have to look into it

I fish a lot and this data is a HUGE asset. It is no different then going from a bow and arrow to a rifle. Different tool. I can place a water temp map over this data and be able to find fish more efficiently. It narrows the hunt down. So instead of trolling for hours with no bites, you can make a better decision as a captain where to move
I just spent 8 hours going through the govt data and cant even get close to what they offer. They put it into a package and allow it to be used on your plotter. I would have to spend 200 hours trying to figure out how to do this. I'm about to spend $700 on this map. The Govt web interface does not give the detail I am looking for
