Default ENGEL Coolers Knows it is COOL to Give Back

By Partnering with Foundations, ENGEL Strives to Make a Difference

Jupiter, Fla. – January 25, 2017 – ENGEL, the leader in AC/DC fridges and freezers, high performance roto-molded coolers, vacuum insulated drink ware, outdoor adventure gear and soft-sided coolers, is proud to leverage its diverse and charitable customer base to help fund and promote several worthwhile organizations. ENGEL has partnered with, but not limited to, Coastal Conservation Association, Building Conservation Trust, No Shoes Reef via Kenny Chesney’s No Shoes Nation, Ducks Unlimited, and Friends of NRA.
The Coastal Conservation Association advises and educates the public on conservation of marine resources. The objective of CCA is to conserve, promote, and enhance the present and future availability of those coastal resources for the benefit and enjoyment of the general public. The Building Conservation Trust (BCT) is the CCA’s National Habitat Program, created to provide vital funding for grassroots-driven projects that focus on creation, restoration and stewardship of habitats.
Recently, country star Kenny Chesney – whose commitment to the world’s waters is as deep as his commitment to the No Shoes Nation – wanted to find new ways to bring awareness to his No Shoes Reefs project. He reached out to ENGEL to create tools to make his fans’ long days at the beach, a game or a stadium show even simpler. ENGEL launched an entire line of No Shoes Nation products, including tumblers, Backpack Coolers, and High Performance Coolers. Working with the CCA and BCT, ENGEL donates a portion of the sales of No Shoes Nation-branded products to building artificial reefs in the Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic Ocean, surrounding rivers and waterways.
“At ENGEL, we are proud to have set the industry standard with our premium cooling products and outdoor adventure gear, ” said Paul Kabalin, CEO of ENGEL Coolers. “We are even more proud of our partnerships with amazing foundations doing important work to preserve our wildlife’s habitats, and enhance all of the many activities our customers enjoy.”
ENGEL also provides funding and product sponsorships for events and fund-raising auctions for Ducks Unlimited Inc. and Friends of NRA. Ducks Unlimited Inc. is the world's largest nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving North America's continually disappearing waterfowl habitats. Established in 1937, Ducks Unlimited has conserved more than 13.8 million acres thanks to contributions from more than a million supporters across the continent. Friends of NRA is a group focused on fundraising for the future of the shooting sports. Since its inception in 1992, Friends of NRA has held over 17,600 events, reached over 3.2 million attendees and raised over $600 million for The NRA Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

All ENGEL products are available now and range in price from $29.99 for a tumbler to $259.99 for a High Performance Cooler. Visit ENGEL Coolers at the Great American Outdoor Show in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania from February 4 – 12, 2017 in booth #2207. I decided over the past few weeks that my next cooler will be made by Engel. I made that decision largely because of your outreach programs. I will also be checking into your other products which I know little about, unfortunately.

Thank you, Engel!

They are posting press releases sent to them. I am not sure if they post all, or just some, but it isn't THT writing these. It is the companies. I don't mind it actually, some info is better than no info.

Kinda like true car?

They make a nice overpriced cooler imho.
The Coleman xtreme does the same job for 1/4 the cost.

OR is a potter Seacraft over rated to a Bass Pro shop sea craft? Duh.

Sometimes you are way to hard to figure out. Almost a legend in your own mind.

I think this Industry News section could possibly separate all the Fan Boy hype certain products get that keep better products from wanting to be a part of THT crowd.

I have both, there is NO comparison... Im not a Yeti person, I have had Icey Tek and Engles, the rest are xtremes. I will admit I do like them, and they are well worth the $79 and will compete with the $250+ coolers.

But the Engle is my day to day most used cooler, and it has proven itself.. Even like it better now that I know the company is doing the right thing instead of spending tons of money advertising in every hardware store in the US.. my 2cents

This is apparently what I think THT management is trying to accomplish with Industry News.

Soundings Magazine and Online has a Trade only Magazine and Online site.

I think the Powers to be here.!! want THT to be the Go To place to introduce new Boat products and Boat builder Boats right here where on Industry News . With a little bit more control maybe? So we gave Legs to the first company that Innovated many products Like Roto molded coolers but gets little credit for being the first.

Jshadow, I think you are correct. For one, I welcome this forum for a few reasons.

First, when I wanted to introduce my shirts to my THT brothers, I did not know where to put the thread. I put it in Dockside, as that is where I tend to hang out mostly. Turns out, that was a mistake, but there was no clear cut alternative. Now we all have one.

Second, I hope this becomes the place where we can talk to manufacturers and suppliers, to tell them the good and bad points of their products. That is direct influence for us and direct feedback for the manufacturers. This is a great opportunity.

Rapi, I think this is more of a 'wire' system as far as official press releases. Not sure which system the boating industry uses, but if you could find out, may make the difference.

Thank you, TorFed!

I checked through a bunch of the threads in this Industry News forum. I would say about 1/3 of the companies posting these press releases have posted comments or answered questions. I think that's pretty darn good! A great participation rate. (Notably absent is Boston Whaler on the thread where you are actively posting.)

As I said, I like the idea. We have direct influence and the companies get direct feedback. Win-win!

I gotta ask, on the Freeman build threads, how much better are those threads because the owner of Freeman (Billy or Bully? IDK!) is actively posting? He is out there front and center talking about his product. He's not hiding. Not like the Boston Whaler guys.

I think with my shirt biz, I wanna take the harder way. The riskier path. I wanna talk about my shirts, promote them, defend them, and improve them based on what you say.

It's late. Time for bed. Good night.
