So, if I buy the current "sport" tonight, will there be a software update to the current sport version to be compatible with my current (2) 12" Simrad Evo3s on my dash as you say the next sport will be MDF compatible?

I got mine last night and played with it some. I was impressed with the quality of the night vision. I want to use the camera to boat at night, but I'm having wfi issues. The wifi keeps losing connection, and when it's connected it's super slow, which means you can't use it to navigate. Hoping to work some of the kinks out.

Also, the wifi will stream at 20 frames per second, should be pretty smooth, I cruise in the 30s no problem with mine.

When you mention it is connected using WIFI versus Bluethooth does that mean it won't connect where there is no cell coverage? In other words does this help you see at night if you are running at night to the canyons?

No, no. Wireless connection from the device to the iPad or tablet - no cell service required.

You stated below:
Shut off your bluetooth and that will make the connection stable
Also, the wifi will stream at 20 frames per second, should be pretty smooth, I cruise in the 30s no problem with mine.
Did you mean to tell him to turn off WIFI??
Bluetooth is how you connect two devises wireless,
WIFI is a way to extend wired connect or LTE
