Default The Wharf Boat and Yacht show.

This will be our first time at The Wharf Boat and Yacht show. Anyone else going? Restaurant recommendations? We do not drink so no bars needed. Thanks in advance

My vote would be Anchor Bar and Grill. I know yall dont drink, but their food is awesome! Really good views and well. It isn't far at all from the wharf.

Anchor Bar is really good. A limited menu, but good eats. Barefoot Grill, at the corner where you turn for Anchor Bar, has the best Ahi Tuna Tacos in the area.

Big Fish, Cosmos, and Fishers are all excellent and not far from the Wharf.

Sorry to hijack, but I'll be down there with my boat at the same time with the family. Is the boat and yacht show worth going to? Thought about checking it out while we are there.

Mayberry, never consider it a hijack on any thread I start. To me the more questions on it the better. We have been wanting to go for a year now but missed it last year. I hear it’s really nice. Lots of boats and some test riding done. We shall see. Y’all have a blast.

It's a great show. Mayberry you may have some challenges to get parked there if you go by boat.

there are some really good restaurants these days in OBA,

Another vote for Fishers here. But all mentioned can be great.

Cosmos is always a favorite for us. They have a good happy hour food menu. The outdoor seating is nice this time of year. Playa at Sportsman Marina is good. A little more pricey than Cosmos but has good food and location is on the water. You can dine inside or outside as well.

Best boat show you'll go to. It's a lot more intimate and a ton of selection. The folks coming to the show are also why this one great. I've always gone to help out with a friend's dealership and the customers that show up to the wharf are prepared and know what they're looking for so that makes it nice from the dealer side. There's a lot of good food right there at the wharf, the atmosphere is great, parking is usually pretty easy. So basically none of the issues that suck at most boat shows.

The wife and I go every year. We never go looking to buy. I just like walking around looking at boats and drinking a few beers. We make a day out of it and go to dinner once we leave. It's all weather dependent of course.

I'm considering skipping out of the office, checking kids out of school early Friday and heading on down a day early. That way, we have time to make the boat show on Saturday. Is it a kid friendly event? We have 3 kids: 9, 6 and 4. Sounds like a great time to kick off the week. I can also get the boat in the water either Friday evening or first thing Saturday morning and get a head start on the week.

In addition to the above suggestions (which are all good!):
If you're bringing kids, Cobalt is always good food and has a fish pond the kids can look at for a while. My kids love Papa Rocco's Pizza in Gulf Shores...they seriously have some of the best oysters on the Gulf, and the kids can get spaghetti or pizza if they want. Ginny Lane at the Wharf is good as well.

I'll be there most of the day Friday. Looking forward to it!

Gonna miss not making it this year, I really enjoy the show and location. We always eat at Ginny Lane at the Wharf and the restaurant across the street on the corner (name slips my mind).

We are set up at the show over by the hotel and gas docks. I do several shows per year and its by far my favorite to be at. Plenty to drool over. Seahunter has a 45 there, grander has a 40 inv cat, tideline has a 365 and their 23 in water, paradise marine has a 32 blackfin cc and a 31 twin vee in water. Theres plenty more big and small in and out of the water. Theres some cool coastal art, an electronics tent, killer dock has some bad ass fish cleaning stations at pretty reasonable prices. Theres several restaurants on site including a new taco and rum bar called yo ho rum and tacos its pretty tasty. Overall something for everyone.

Checked into Caribe this evening, got the boat in the water and docked, and we plan to head over tomorrow after lunch. Purchased my tickets this morning.

I stopped by today and you were busy. I need a green camo pad single layer for a K2 60 qt. Do you have the measurements or do I need to send them?

Sorry I missed you, I do not have those measurements. Are you in the orange beach area?
