Default Stupid Fuel Tanks

Hey there Fellow THT's..
So I have a 2002 Contender 27 Open, with the dreaded fuel tank issue. I live in Venice.. I've contacted Furlan Marine in Gautier Miss., to do the work, but they are backed up.. Does anyone know of a company locally (New Orleans, ect.) that would cut out the tank, replace, and re-glass the deck?
Thanks in advance.

Do you have the saddle tanks?
If not, you don’t have to cut the floor. Pull console, pull center hatch, and get to work.
What uear model is your boat?

it is definitely more work than I presented, but it is doable if u have the room to do it.

bent marine in New Orleans May do this work.

Mike, evidently we never received the "let's do it" email. I guarantee you we did not deliberately turn down work. These are the only records of our communication we could find. This account is not allowed to post pics yet so I will follow up from my personal account. This is between you and Kyle, our fiberglass technician. From now on, let's begin all future communications through text or email.

Mike, for some reason I am having difficulty posting from the Marine Concepts account. Evidently, we did not receive the "let's do it" email. I can assure you we did not deliberately turn down work. I can also assure you it won't happen again. My apologies.

These are the only records of email communication we have with you. This is between you and Kyle, our fiberglass technician.

Moving forward, I would prefer all future communications through email or text

Thank you
Rob

kjuncoastie I know how you are feeling. Just had it done on my 2000 27 open. Same as you I knew it was only a matter of time. If it got rough while out fishing in the back of my mind I always wondered is this going to be the trip that does it in. After replacing tanks it is like a weight has been lifted being confident that I will not see that issue again. It's a tough pill to swallow but worth it!!

That's for sure. My boat has been there for two months and they haven't begun work on it yet; that's after waiting for 7 months to take it to them.

Furlan lost some employees to no fault of his own and that has slowed him down apparently. Their work is incredible so I'm going to try to be patient, albeit that's not my strong suit.
