What about the Eglin Marina? Do you have access to the base?

Take a look at Rocky Bayou Park in Niceville. Nice ramp, probably best in area.

The outdoor rec ramp on Eglin is tight for anything over 25' or so, I wouldn't recommend it. However the other ramps on Eglin over by the club in the yacht club can accommodate a larger boat. Hurlburt same limitation as Eglin, the ramp is 90* perpendicular to the canal, tight space for anything over 25'. Many ramps have lots of space though. Joe's is a good option, so is Marler Park. There is a ramp behind the bank and whataburger in Cinco Bayou that would be able to accommodate too.

Two George's Marina in Shalimar has a boat ramp that will fit your needs. I think they charge 15 or 20 bucks.

I have a 27' center console and I'm not that great at launching it (hence I keep it in rack storage) but the few times we've gone to a boat ramp the Rocky Bayou ramp is the best, the Eglin Marina (behind the hospital not on the east side by outdoor rec center) is okay too. I would imagine the Shalimar and Bluewater Bay marinas have ramps too but I've never taken a look at them.

Not sure if this would help but it may be worth considering,.................

If you are coming down hwy 20 anyway you might check the ramp on the east side of Choctaw Beach ( there's a little park with pavilions there). I have stopped and looked at it on occasion but have never launched there. From what I remember it looked ok, and in all the times I've been by there I've only seen 1 trailer parked there so parking shouldn't be an issue. The only thing I thought might be an issue is the water depth in the area (it looked like it was fine at the ramp) If it wouldn't work it wouldn't be a huge loss you just continue on to Rocky Bayou.

Sorry, for some reason I was thinking that you said you were coming from around the D.F.Springs area. Where are you actually coming from???

Try Ross Marler Park located just east of bridge to Okaloosa Island. Has double wide ramp and plenty deep enough. I launch my Cape Horn 31 there no problem.

Here's another option that's closer to Eglin (down by the bulk fuel distribution point in Niceville)
