WOW! I was planning on going to some Navarre nearshore spots to dive... I think i'll just send the camera down just to be safe! 10' is a big one. bigger than I want to see face to face!

I havnt seen a lot of sharks weighed, but does 700# seem like a heavy estimate for a 10 footer?

Guy i know was on the huntress a year or 2 back when they got an 11’ mako that weighed in at 804. So i wouldnt doubt that white was in the 700lb range.

I saw the footage. I still think it was a Black Tip. However, a 10 ft Shark of any kind is big enough.

I would bet on them properly identifying it. Team True Blue are the ones who tagged it for the guy who caught it. They are the Polk family and are legendary shark fishermen from the Pensacola area. They have caught hundreds, maybe thousands of sharks going back generations. One of the brothers owns the world record for the largest Mako (+800#) ever caught from land.

Came face to face with 6-7' Tiger years ago in Key West at the Reef...

I'll be honest here, I wet my wetsuit...

Scuba/spearfishing? Or just snorkeling the reef in Key West? Marathon has had a couple of Whites in the 100' range in the past few years.
