On the west side, Red Pass is fine. Tante Phine and Tiger passes are done for.

Is south pass really silted up enough that outboard boats shouldn't even use it?

So what's the deal with Port Eads now that it's closed? I assume is still easily accessible from the south, will it be covered in no trespassing signs or can you spend the night on your boat there just tied up?

It sounds like you won't even be able to get to it.

The Big Game has figured it out, they built a clubhouse at Cypress Cove. Word is once south pass is breached due to erosion they will never be able to keep open.

I used south pass twice in the last couple months and I saw 2.5’ on my depth finder while running 30 mph. It is shallow in a couple spots.

I used tiger pass last month and it is extremely shallow and probably won’t be able to use it in my new boat.

What used to be the red & green channel markers in Tiger Pass are now just signs that say "shoaled."

I know nothing about dredging costs. What would it cost to dredge it all back out?

So it costs a lot to fix it. There is no way to get the money back and there are other ways to reach the Gulf. Yep. Sounds like it is era that once was.

Hell it wasn't even 10 years ago pogie boats could run Tiger, I ran large sporties in/out of it.

On another note if you've never read about Eads (the person) he was very interesting.
