I visited a friend who has a fire pit made from the blast nozzle of an old jet fighter. He bought it as surplus somewhere along the gulf coast. Very cool.

a skidder rim makes a great fire pit since its even wider. but you'll have a hell of a time moving it

First tire dealer you see that does tractor trailers stop and ask. That is generally where they are and end up in scrap metal. So they should part with them reasonable. Usually they are misshapen wheels that no longer balance or seat the tire bead properly.

Rob, I didn't see any but I did see about a million tires. There are a few places closer to 510 on Almonaster that looked like they may have some old 18 wheelers...may be worth asking some of them.
