Default Anyone catching tuna in venice

I am headed down to Venice to run my boat for a few days. Was wondering if anyone has been catching any tuna. Thinking about doing a two day trip Friday-Saturday. If anyone has any recent info that you don't mind sharing it would be greatly appreciated. Please DM me. thank you

It was sloppy here at Thunder Horse the last 4-5 days with that west wind. It really laid down overnight and looks awesome out here now. Should only get even better the next few days. I'll bet that most of the tourney boats will be fishing this area hard.

I 100% agree with you there has only really been one really good run to the lump that I have seen and that night I had a temp sensor go out so I didn't even get to fish. Talk about being mad when everybody was unloading 150 plus tuna lol.

were you on the rig when they dropped the tool bag in the water last month. If so I was the boat that yall called to disposed of it. Also have you been seeing any tuna blow up late evening early morning?

yeah, I was here. Heard about it the next morning. I'm not outside looking over the handrail all day, so I can't give a good report on fish sightings. I'm about to hit the deck for a good bit of the day. I'll keep a look out and report back. If I was fishing the next few days, everything I see on ripcharts says fish the stretch of Olympus, Mars, Ursa, Devils Tower, West Vela, T-horse, Q5000 and T-hawk.

I saw no tuna busting the surface today. I did see one roll close to the surface. The armada has made it out here. The first boat was a CC and got here around 3:40pm. The sportfishers started showing up almost two hours after the first boat. Green water rolled in from no where around lunch time and then the current changed and we are blue again. Catch'em up!

Boats out of Fourchon not doing well on tuna last few weeks. May have changed in last few days but even the best of them were getting skunked last week

Not that I have been out there recently, but when 115 pounds took second and 94 pounds took third place in the entire Cajun Canyons tournament last weekend then the tuna bite must be slow

Weather is beautiful, seas 1ft here at Thunder Horse. Water is green again this morning, but I assume it will change back to blue once the current swaps around like yesterday. Boats in every direction I look. I haven't been outside long enough to see if anyone is catching.

If you have the range I would go to Green Canyon. Get away from some of the crowd and the east side of the river has been slow tuna fishing.

Default Mississippi Canyon

Went out to MC920 yesterday had to drop off some cargo and fuel to the Independence Hub. I got there at 0800 and there was 8-10 boats there. I stayed there for 4 hours and I never seen anyone catch a thing. On the way back to fourchon just a few miles east of south west pass there's a grass line from Port Eads heading South and they had 8-10 boats working it
