Trying to get a trip for offshore in Los Suenos Coasta Rica. I know some of ya'll have been there. Looking for good captains, boats places to stay. Thanks in Advance. Trying for 2nd week of June 2018. I know there are better months, but school calendar dictates.

Any of the “Fly” boats. We stayed at the Marriott and fished out of los senios marina for two days for sails. Good trip.

Mike alligood, or something similar, is a captain down there and a Tht member and posts on the forum. Little further south I think.

We fished on the Mavericks for 2 days out of Los Suenos. Day one got cancelled due to a motor problem. The second day, the captain phoned it in and we went but he really didn't seem to put in effort. We ended up getting a nice dolphin and one sail, but wasn't impressed by the effort. On the third fishing day, we were down in Quepos and the captain worked hard at putting us on the fish. I think we caught 6 or 7 that day...I'd recommend Quepos as well if you want to see the real Costa Rica and not the Americanized version.

My wife and I just enjoyed an evening with Skip Smith and Bouncer Smith speaking at the Hollywood Hills Fishing Club last night. If you want to fish CR then Skip might be a great choice! At least check him out...

I wanted to go to that meeting , but couldn't make it . Skip keeps his boat at Marina Pez Vela in Quepos , he is a true legend in the sportfishing scene .

Bubba Carter is also a legend as well . Can't go wrong with either one of them .

The true CR experience means leaving your wife at home!!!
Blue Marlin Bar for at least 1 day, unless she's into that kind of thing...
