Default Destin Charter Reccomendations

Heading down to spend a week with family in Rosemary beach towards the end of July. I am in need of a good charter for 3 guys. What is biting offshore that time of year in the area? Any recommendations would be helpful! Would love to support a fellow THT'er.

Thanks in adavance!

Call Preston at Gulf Angler fishing charters. My wife and I booked with them in the fall and went with Capt. Zach Williams on In-To-Wishin and he was great. Every time we go back from now on will be with them.

One of Preston's Captains (Drew) runs one of our 235 Hybrids with a full tower. He catches a lot of fish and more importantly is a great guy to hang out with.

P.S. Preston and his big Americat are not bad either.

Thank you for the heads up! I am in Greenville, so it would be cool to fish one of your boats down in the Gulf.. Never had the chance to check one out on the water.

What is the target species in the end of July? Any trolling going on down there around that time or primarily bottom fish? I am not familiar with that fishery at all....

charter boats will be all bottom fishing. there will also be some king mackerel slow trolling thrown in there as well. Finding pelagic species trolling offshore isn't as predictable as hauling in a bunch of snapper that time of year.

I figured this would be the case, just didn't know if there were seasons on a lot of the bottom species down there as well. Will be fun none the less for us guys to get on the water while the ladies have a shopping day, etc....
