Default Hello guys

Been a long time from my last post here. Anyway, I'm still hanging and hope the rest of y'all are doing good.

So, I have a problem that I could use some help with. I have a old Wellcraft 2800 sportbridge. It has been dry docked in my yard for 8+ years due to my health.

What I been trying to do is donate it, but there seams to be no one wants it due to the size. I don't have a trailer for it. Every thing is there for it. The engines have less then 100 hours along with rebuilt trannies. The only thing is that it will need all the wiring redone. I had started, but life to a turn.

If anybody knows of a charity that is willing to take this boat, please let me know. I hate seeing this boat just sitting there and I need it out my yard.

Thanks for any help.

I hear that KARS for kids all the time on the radio, I think they take boats too. However, if there is an expense such as moving the boat it my devalue the donation. Or they may just not have the resources to move the boat.

If you can't donate the boat out right to an organization you you could consider selling the boat and donating the money... everybody takes money.

Paul,

Great to hear from you! I don't know of anyone that could take the boat, but will keep it in mind.

Take care,

Ben

Thanks guys. Been up and down, but I still push myself when I feeling good. Gave up fishing all together other then a little fresh water fishing local. Way to hard for me to drive any long distance.

I sent a note re your boat to THT'er Tillman. He has a high school shop class in Theodore, AL where they redo all types of stuff. Most of his posts are in Boat Photos section if you'd like to see some of their work.

Not sure if they can handle, but sent him this link anyway.

Paul,
It's been a long time. Have you gotten rid of the Baja also?

It's good to hear from you Paul. You know, something like that could make a great hunting camp. I see larger boats with cabin space like that all the time and think they have tremendous potential.
