Question I have is where is the rest of the boat? Trying to think how the superstructure could come apart from the hull on a boat like that??

Probably wood core ........ wood is only good at causing catastrophic failures.

Capsized black bottom. What a freaking navigation hazard. Glad it washed ashore. Now what?

Someone might have been sinking it for a reef and it did not sink. wonder if there is a nane on stern like is required for a documented boat.

You might be on to something there. I know some people who did this exact thing and the boat didn't sink. Idiots. They just left it out in the Gulf. It certainly wasn't a 25' footer and I didn't hear about it until later, but the abject stupidity and recklessness amazes me.

Yes, Eglin has one of the largest in the nation due south of Navarre/Destin. It could have easily floated in due to the latest wind and surf conditions.
