Default Just a quick check in

Hi guys, been a long time from my last post. Been hanging in there and just living day to day. Haven't fished in a long time. Don't even know if I have any rods to fish with. Kids, some of y'all know what I mean.

Anyway, health wise, not much of a change there. Guess that is good. I did get a chance to go swimming on the 4th. Was the first time in 4 years. Yes, it kicked my butt, but I really enjoyed the day.

Y'all take care, Paul

Paul I don't know you but from the sounds of the post there has been some health issues. I'm happy you were able to get to the water and spend time with kids. Water is definitely a healer. My prayers go out to you and I pray that God will heal any physical ailments!!!

Paul,
I thought about you the other day. I drove thru your part of the world coming back from vacation. Glad you're still hanging in there. Any prospects for a transplant yet?

beanie, they still have me on the back burner. My heart is stable as it is so far. Still sucks the big one knowing I still have my good and bad days. It is very hard to plan anything more then a day or two at the most.

A couple months ago, I threw together a pirogue building at my house. Had a bunch of people show and build a pirogue. We did 9 that weekend all at once. It was cool to pass on something I learn at 8 years old. None of the guys never built one before and a couple never worked with wood before. LOL If I feel up to another build, it is going to happen some time in Oct. It has to cool down for me to be able to hang.

Here is a link if anyone wants to read..

Paul,
I almost missed your reply. That build looks like a lot of fun and work. I talked to my sons and we'd love to build one. I read all the posts and know what to bring. I can get the plywood for anyone that can't find it locally and I could haul it there in the truck. Please keep me in mind and let me know how this proceeds.

Paul,

Good to hear from you. Keep hanging in there.

If you do another pirogue build let me know. I'd love to build one.
