Never did fish over there, but thought about it. If I had more time in the area I would have liked to try cruising the beach for cobia and all, but I'm sure everyone with me would not have liked buying licenses.

How long has it been since you visited Crab Island? Are you looking for some activities that may be happening there because of memorial weekend? What are some of your plans? There is a lot to comment about the place because it is just great. I am just not sure what to mention specifically.

I'm leaving Friday to go down for the week. Look for me. 31 Fountain "Life is Good"
Crabislandonline.com has a list of the bands scheduled to play. Always great down there, not to mention the opening of Red Snapper season.

marlinhunter, I wasn't looking to get suggestions or what not. I was just planning on going and seeing if there was going to be anyone I knew from the site out there as well. Thanks, though. I'll keep an eye out for you, moto.

ill be out Sunday, should be an awesome weekend but watch out for all the assholes trying to enter the harbor @ the sametime. Its been getting really dangerous lately. Your best bet for fishing is catching Reds @ the destin bridge on shrimp or drift fishing the flats N of Crab Island. Cobia are over with but the kings and snapper fishing has been off the charts, just cant keep a snapper until the 1st!

I'll be out there tomorrow, on Saturday, in a 36' Contender white/blue bottom and carolina blue stripe and t-top!

It will be crowded but I dont think "dangerous" is a valid description. Just be forewarned any rental boats should be approached "cautiously"

I'll be there June 3-8 with my boat. Know anything about fishing the area? Just wanting to catch something for the kids and girlfriend. It's a 19 footer, so nothing 30 mi offshore.

My boat is staying in the hangar for the weekend. But I`ll be there next weekend. My sister in coming in from Montana and she wants to get some of her girlfriends and play on the boat. AAHH life is good.

saw a parasail boat and a sailboat go @ it in the middle of the channel right where Harry T's is and also saw 2 different boats hit waverrunners or the waverunners hit the boats eitherway keep your eyes searching when going through the opening of the harbor

It was crazy out there yesterday. Ditto on the parasail and rental boats. Wildlife officers and the sheriff were out in force, thank goodness, and they were busy as you know what.

All you beer drinkers out there - the sheriff and coasties are sitting on the sideline with binoculars, watching for drinking and driving, so be very careful!

Have a great time the rest of this week! Wish I was there today.
