No sure how they made out with the hurricanes, but I always wanted to head out to Hackberry to do a cast/blast on the west side of the state.

OP, go to Louisiana department of wildlife and fisheries for an idea of season dates for duck hunting.

I asked this same question here last year and ended up going with Ryan Lambert's outfit: Cajun Fishing Adventures. It was top notch. We ended up choosing to hunt only instead of the cast/blast but the other guys at the lodge that went fishing did well. It was easily one of the best duck hunts I've ever been on. We plan on booking with them again.

I would recommend Limitless I believe they can accommodate both. As far as time of year that’s a little tougher. Venice teal hunts has been fairly consistently listed as a top 10 hunting experience from DU.
A couple of observations about Venice and I’ve done guided hunting as well as my own: you are hunting a migratory bird at the end of the flyaway, 2nd split low water is an issue, and last is hunting pressure.
I would say book a hunt early season or teal
Redfish bite is fairly consistent. Specks are probably best during teal maybe ok first split.
Bass are off the chart during teal I don’t fish bass so don’t really know when they turn off and not sure any charters target them.
For the most part anywhere southeast LA will be a similar story. Not sure if you are from LA but Venice is Coastal zone for duck season

Teal season is usually hot, like you want to wear dry fit long sleeve shirt and preferably breathable waders. The biggest problem is the freaking mosquitos. It is unlike anything I have ever experienced until sunrise. Turns out breathable stuff doesn't breathe well when you soak it in about a can of high feet mosquito spray.
That said, when it's on, it's a blast.

Blaize Charters is great for Blast N Cast. Lodges in Buras. They can also do food and/or walking/crawling distance from the world famous Black Velvet restaurant.
