Default RIP Paul Rockvoan

https://www.tigerdroppings.com/rant/...hter/94138374/

Paul was a beloved member of the outdoors community both here at THT (prockvoan) and at TD (fishfighter). The message from his daughter pretty well sums up the character of the man and the skills and knowledge he so cheerfully shared with others.

he was one of a kind and I and grateful to have been able to meet him.

I was lucky to have met Paul and his family in 2006. Had a good time together that weekend (although I think he got a little ticked Pat beat his mangrove and took the pot! Hahaha). We talked over the years. He came met us when looking at a boat in his area. We shared a great fishing trip when we had a fall snapper season back in 2010. He was the type of guy who helped anybody in need. He also did a cool tutorial on THT of how to build a wooden pirogue,

RIP my brother.

I know he's been sick for a while and dropped off being able to post on here. Sorry to see him go. Many black snapper to be caught in heaven.

I went to the LUMP for the first time with Paul. It was January 4, 2006. Had to go through a check point in Belle Chase where they checked your boat/trailer registration so you get out on the way home. NO services of any kind past there. Still had someone collecting the launch fee at venice marina. We fished together several times after that. He was several years senior to me and taught me quite a bit.
We would leave Baton Rouge around midnight and usually get back around midnight. He had to drive to/from Ventress to meet me in BR. No way I could make such a trip today.

RIP Paul Rockvoan

Sad news. Paul was indeed a solid guy. May he rest in peace.
