Another Storm...

Gotta make a decision soon if we are moving camp for the 3rd time this year. Only moved it one other time in 9 years. Looks like all models show a hard hook to the north just not sure when. I still think it’s going East of the River but hard to tell this year. If anything is on our side, it’s the speed at which it is going to move across the gulf, doesn’t have long to build up.

We were supposed to be heading to Orange Beach Monday morning for a 2 week trip. Don't think dragging the boat into the path of a hurricane is the smart decision. Now, I'm just waiting to see what happens. Might have to push our trip back a few days. Not the end of the world. We're pretty flexible. Hope it doesn't strengthen and cause any damage anywhere. It would be great if it took a hard right and went right back into land before strengthening. But, the models don't seem to think that'll be the case right now.

We live on the coast smack dab in the middle of MS. It’s looking like we’re going to get a direct hit. 2nd one this season. Cuss words!

same here. My boats are already on trailers but am going to tie down the jon boat so it doesn’t blow away. I haven’t heard the notices yet but they’ll make every one move their boats from the harbors if we get a hurricane warning. Be safe & best of luck.

Told my wife this morning it will be Cat 2. The Gulf is 85 degrees all the way up...
Have to go to Destin and get a 30 Intrepid off the lift, it’s under cover. Bring it to FWB to put into the boathouse while I pull the Viking outside and tie it up..oh well.....what I get paid for🤷🏼♂️

Great timing on this one, I happen to be in Daphne this week house hunting. Our flight home is Noon Tuesday out of New Orleans, not likely that will happen. Might just push the flight a day or 2.

Over the course of the last 18 hours the maximum intensity forecast has been adjusted from 70, to 80, to 85 and now 100. Does this feel familiar to anyone?

And NOAA has the damn track going right over my house! The good news: when's the last time they've hit the forecast right?

Any chance any THTers are in Venice this Am with nothing to do, and wouldn’t mind towing a boat north a few hours for a fee? I won’t make it before the mandatory stuff goes into effect
