I came down to my Gulf home to do some fishing and not to deal with a stinking storm. But I guess the good news is two fold.
1. I am here so I can take care of things.
2.Not much needed to get ready since we left everything put away from Cristobal which happened 2 days before we went north.

The forward speed picked up. That's a good thing. It won't have as much time to strengthen.

The 11 am advisory downgraded peak intensity to 90. Maybe the increase in forward speed will help us out.

It’s gonna slow down forward speed when it gets 60 or so miles out. It will intensify in strength. After somewhat of a stall the storm will alter course back east. That’s from our conference call just now, hurrevac s pretty reliable info.

I am sitting on ready to head that way but may not. I will make my final decision tomorrow morning. Wake up early and check the forecast. 100 mph or less forecast and I sit tight. I have a generator and plenty of gas. Over 100 but under 120 I head to my wife's sisters house in Madisonville. Higher than that, my brother's.

Y'all know how the National Park Service just spent millions fixing Camille and Katrina cuts to rejoin East and West Ship islands? That was nice for the few months it lasted.

Obviously, didnít head to Orange Beach today, as planned. Thought weíd just push back to Thursday or Friday. Now Iím wondering if we go at all, with the storm sitting still and gathering strength. At the very least, they are going to get a ton of rain. They are far more important things than a vacation, and my prayers are with everyone in the path of the storm. Still really hope OBA is spared the worst of it and I donít have to cancel altogether, though. Isnít looking good.
