Default Perdido Key

Have a week scheduled thru VRBO for a rental in Perdido Key with a dock. Have not cancelled yet. Was planning on running boat from Biloxi area to the place, hanging out and grilling. All I need is a marina still open for gas and I'm good to get back home. Going to bring all my groceries, etc. on boat. Will not have car. Not having guests join me, just solo. What do you think, cancel or go ahead?

When is the week scheduled? I would be comfortable proceeding based on what you've said. I'd call ahead to a marina or two to make sure they're at least planning to be open (can't control every variable, but could prepare as best as possible)

Going April 12-17. It's a real nice boat ride, mostly protected water. Really need to get out of the house and do something and this seems pretty safe, but the current situation is really unprecedented.

VRBO owner has not responded to my inquiry about cancelling. If I can't get a refund, do I risk going there anyway?

Thanks everyone for the input. Called O.B. Marina, they are still selling gas, so that's a positive.

Holiday Harbor is still open in Perdido Key. I would do the trip. Weather is gorgeous here.

Bring plenty of supplies as you'll be limited with no car and grocery stores here don't really have paper products or cleaning supplies. Plenty of fresh veggies and food. All restaurants are either closed or doing to-go only. Beaches are closed but waters are open for boating/fishing. Other than that, weather is nice so should be a great ride as long as winds and seas are flat. So far all marinas are operational near OB but that could change depending on circumstances.

Florida just ordered a state wide stay at home order so I'd probably rethink your trip.

I got some great takeout last week from Sunset Grill at Holiday Harbor. Sounds like a great trip to me.
