Default Chandy vs the marsh the next few weeks

A friend of mine is leaving for basic in November and Iíd like to take him on a trip before he leaves.

I was thinking chandy and maybe hit some of the rigs east of it for Cobia. Iíve never fished out there and donít know how it would be in October. I figure most of the fish have or are headed to the Biloxi marsh soon (Iíve also never fished the marsh. I was hoping someone who fishes these areas regularly could give me some advice on which one you would go with.

Also any safe routes to run or areas to avoid would be greatly appreciated. Will be running a 22í bay boat.

No idea on the route but we go every fall, as late as November. Fishing can be great during that time, if the weather cooperates.

tell him thanks for his service and his willingness to be in the 1% that serves!

Been out at Chandy every day since July. Fishing was great and then tapered off the last couple weeks. 2 trips ago we had 12 customers and they caught 63 trout and 12 reds in 3 days. Our last trip we had 8 customers and they caught 63 trout and 21 reds in two days. I wouldn't think it safe to be running to Chandy in a 22 bay boat with these fronts starting to pile up. They've been predicting 15-20 kt winds and it has been 20-25 kts damn near every day in the last week.

Way to early to plan. Weather is dependent as is water clarity for what you are doing. Canít make a call unless itís about 24-48 hours before trip.
