Default Rainbird Sprinkler Repair

My Rainbird sprinkler control box exploded from a lightening strike. Can anyone recommend a good sprinkler repair company/guy? I'm in Lillian, Al. Thanks

Buying a new box is likely the easiest solution. Simply use the same power and zone wiring. I had to replace mine last year.

And thank you for your service, MGunny. I was USN '65-'93, mustang.

I'll probably buy the box off Amazon but would prefer to have someone who knows what they're doing install it. Might give it a shot but I'm not sure if any other damage was done besides just the control box. Thanks for your service as well brother.

Order a hunter hydra wise. Very simple installation. Cutting edge technology and my go to. We installed 200 rainbirds last year and just made the switch over.

Deductible is more than the repair would cost.

I used Sprinklers and More in Mobile for my yard's Rainbird system about 10 years ago after my neighbor had a good experience with them. No complaints.

I just replaced mine. Got a deal on Ebay. Easy install, very clear instructions. If you are lucky to get an exact model just make a picture of the wiring with iphone and you will be good to change out.
I saved over 60%!

had the same thing happen in Fairhope. New box was about $60, but bigger issue was it blew 2 zone valves and ruptured some pipes in the ground where the lightning hit. All in all probable about $150-$200 in parts, but took me about 5-6 hours to find the issue and dig up the yard to fix.

Will probably replace the box this weekend and I'm sure hoping there's no damage to any pipes. Thanks

If you run into any additional problems you can message me, Id be willing to help out. I live in Foley, I don't do irrigation for a living or anything but I have installed a few systems and have worked on golf courses for 20 years.

The controls fry real easy which is why it fried. Easy swap should be plug and play but very sensitive boards. Make sure power if off before install and should work fine .
