Default Live Bait in the Oyster Bay Area

We are heading down to the Gulf Shores area for about 10 days. Plan to go out for Snapper some, but plan on doing a lot of marsh fishing during the week. I've never fished that area before so I have no idea where to find some live shrimp.

Are there any locations close to oyster bay where we are staying or will we need to head in to town? Any recommendations for fishing spots would be appreciated. Planning to hit piers and inlets mainly.

Thanks!

I live just west of Oyster Bay. You can set pinfish traps, and catch croakers around docks, but otherwise bait can be a bit difficult. Hooked Up, just east of the south end of the 59 bridge, usually has shrimp and bull minnows in the morning. J & M in Orange Beach May also have bait, along with Capt Frasier’s at 59 and CR 10. A few trout are still in Oyster Bay, but the bleeping gnats and No-See-Ums can make that place miserable. Lots of reds and BIG black drum were on the rocks at Sailboat Bay (west end of the ICW, where it enters Mobile Bay), on an outgoing tide last week, plus an occasional trout. Also, you can fish up the Bon Secour River for trout and reds, but they can be picky - live shrimp is usually best. A few fish will be on the artificial reefs in Mobile Bay, especially early in the day. Hooked Up has coordinates.
