Default Anyone Fishing out of Corpus/Aransas this Weekend?

Anyone going out for snapper this weekend? Looking like we will have semi-decent weather. If so, see you out there!

Heading out of POC ...buddy boating with a friend...The weather looks awesome....can't wait to hook up with some big ARS!!! Had this trip planned for months so thankful the weather went our way.......I am taking my father in law and a few of my nephews. Most have never been offshore....so it will be fun if they hook up with a huge AJ or Ling....not to mention a good sized ARS. I will post pics (Hopefully) next week. Looking forward to seeing how you guys fared as well.

Good luck and tight lines!

I'm headed out through Packery Saturday/Sunday for sure. Hoping to grab a quick snapper limit and search for some Mahi.

I will be going out of PA to go offshore on Sunday afternoon into dusk then again real early on Monday. Will overnight at the muni marina. I wish there was more than one option(Woody's) to fuel up early Mon morn. Weather looks good, water temp in the low 80's.

I dont know if it fits into your time window but redfish bay in the back of conn brown has gas on the water. And theres a fuel dock the shrimpers use in there as well if its diesel you need.

I have a wedding saturday evening, but going to at least make a snapper run either saturday or sunday early.

For Sure For Sure

They were so-so. I'd say 3's with an occasional set of 5s. Ran 20 to 25mph on the way out into a head sea and 37 on the way back with a following sea.

We ran out to the Liberty Ships...caught 11 in about 45 minutes (had 6 on the boat)...the last one took 45 minutes....kept puling hooks....thought we would never get that last one.

Seas were a lot taller than the forecast 1-2s for sure....more like solid 3s with a 5 every 6th wave.....I grilled Snapper throats when I got home yesterday....can't believe we threw those away before.....They are SOOOO juicy and tender! It was an awesome trip for sure. One that will be remembered by my nephews after I am gone for sure...My father in law was with us as well.....75 years young and I have a hard time keeping up with him. This was truly a trip for the books for us. Looking forward to the next trip out. We are doing a trip to Hackberry Rod & Gun next week with my Father in law and a few others from my wife side. Should be another great trip.

I went out again yesterday. Seas were much better on Sunday. It felt like the period increased by about a second which was just enough to let the boat run on top for the most part. Spent most of the run out going 32ish until a nice set of 5's rolled in and I got the props out of the water a few times . Slowed down to 25 for the rest of the way out. Pulled up another limit of snapper on the same numbers before starting to troll. Landed 3 false albacore and then headed for state waters to grab the rest of our limit. Ride back in was at a solid 37mph all the way to Packery Channel.

Overall it was a great weather window and opening to the 2019 snapper season!

Fished the afternoon on Sunday-very snotty conditions. Nice size snaps and a good ling too. The return into PA channel was like Jupiter inlet-fish tacos this week.
