ODNR in cooperation with Ottawa County Law enforcement will be checking out of state fishermen at local ramps. If they have not complied with the 2 week quarantine rule, they will be turned away. Their will probably be rioting in the streets, lol

Word is Michigan will be doing the same thing to non residents during July and August when Ohio residents flock to Lake Michigan harbors for salmon. Sounds fair to me.

Well, in the past, when out of staters come to load up on walleye, the DNR will ask them for proof that they've been here for X number of days that matches the amount of walleye in possesion. Proof is motel/lodging/camping receipts, Restaurant, gas etc.
Michigan can do what it wants. There are now 21 cases in Ottawa county. Not a large number but double what it was last week. With the influx of not only fisherman but folks with larger boats docked at marina's as well as those with 2nd homes here, I expect the number to go MUCH higher. We are a small town with limited medical resources. Hate to see them get overwhelmed.
