Default Reactor Problem

Installed the New Garmin Reactor Auto Pilot I bought from you, it has an issue with the heading being off by about 75 degrees.
Working with Garmin at this time trying to sort out.
Auto Pilot is installed and works perfectly, the showdown drive works, it will hold a course, just the heading is incorrect, while the compass and GPS were reading 330 degrees the GHC 20 was reading 250.
Will keep you updated, they are getting an engineer involved tonight after I posted them some screen shots of menus their tech had me bring up.

HI Jimmy:

Thanks for the update. Always great to know how client projects are progressing. One of the benefits with Garmin is that they have more resources to look into issues and resolve them.

Enjoy !!!

Jimmy,
Any updates? Having same problem with one I finished last week. I sent email of issue to my Garmin rep and he sent that to Garmin autopilot engineer and replied that they [Garmin] are running into the same issues. Best I can tell is that they are working on a new update to fix the issue. We aren't the only ones... I have another one that I am installing this week. Thanks

We are keeping our ears very close to what other clients are experiencing. Clearly, the new component here is the Reactor. Clearly the GHC is just displaying information being provided to it by the sensors GPS / Compass. It is either the information being sent through the network protocol is incorrectly formatted or the sensor has a problem.

Thanks for the update

Hi Jimmy:

They are not giving specifics but I will advise you to download the firmware update anyway as it is highly recommended that you apply this update anyway as it will adding features or addressing known issues regardless of whether it fixes the specific problem you are looking at.

I will recommend downloading it and then see if problem still persists.
