Greetings:

Pretty much all Autopilot manufacturers make their autopilot compatible with chartplotter regardless of brand name by making them NMEA compliant.

It is always advisable however, to stock with a one vendor solution if at all possible. That is, if Raymarine is the chartplotter then first consider the Raymarine autopilot. This minimizes finger pointing when troubleshooting.

When looking for an autopilot solution, the key is first to determine what steering mechanism or drive is required. While we have done this for more than 16 years, we still recommend that you confer with Raymarine tech support armed with all information about your steering system. 5 minute discussion will be well worth it.

Once you have a part number or model, you can send an email direct to us at [email protected] and we will review the config and can quote a proposed solution.

Should not be a problem, I have a Raymarine chart plotter and a Standard Horizon GPS as a back-up unit, they are both connected to my Simrad auto-pilot and work flawlessly when prompted to give a course/heading.

If you are still looking into Sitex Auto pilot, then I would recommend giving them a call first just to make sure that they still offer the drive unit that will be required for you specific requirement. This is the best route to take. If, they have a current solution, just note down the part number and we can pick it up from there and make sure that project is completed successfully and on time.
