My 28 x 37.5" inboard nibral props had some pitting most likely caused by low pressure around the props 2 yrs ago. Anyway General Prop tuned and repaired my props for $3500. Unfortunately all the spot welding to repair these spots lasted less than 2 yrs and I had to recently have re welded. Welder informed us the welding rods used were cheap rods used for bronze props instead of nibral and the bronze being softer didn't hold.

We are very sorry to hear that you are disappointed in your prop repair and are willing to work to make it right.
We use AMPCO-TRODE 46 Nibral welding rods on all Nibral prop repairs, and would never use a bronze rod on a Nibral prop.
If the issue causing the pitting in the first place (whether cavitation burn or electrolysis) is not resolved then you will continue to have the pitting or cavitation burn issues.
Did you reach out to us about this issue? We always stand by or work, and if there is ever an issue, or you feel you weren’t satisfied with the quality of the repair, we encourage all of our customers to contact us and we will do everything we can to address the issue.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss further please give me a call at (941) 748-1527 ext 313.
