Default Hot Chicken

Anyone made it at home?

It has been a while since I have been to Nashville and it is not something popular around here so no go on a restaurant serving it so I am thinking of giving it a go at home.

Any recipes that yall have tried and liked?

I may end up just trying one online but figure checking here first would be better.

I'm from Nashville and have never even had Nashville Hot Chicken. It's a dish that's somewhat late in coming to market out of a couple of restaurants there.

Not hard to find recipes. Has actually become very popular in my area. It is basically fried chicken that afterward is drizzled with a spicy seasoned oil. Matty Matheson has a good recipe.

I love chicken so much and hot chicken is one of them. It's one of the best recipes for me.

1C Texas Pete
1Tbs Garlic Salt
1Tbs Onion Powder
1Tbs Oragino
1Tbs Garlic Powder
1Tbs Oragino

Let marinate for a few hours. Cook how you like.

This also works great for wings in the air fryer.

That may be spicy chicken, but not nashville hot style, which uses no hot sauce, but a spicy oil.

HMMM, I use something like that on grilled wings.

Ill look around for the hot oil to finish it off.
