Default 15 Bean Soup

Smoky Cream of 15 Bean Soup....
I ended up with two gallons and it is terrific. I used smoked pork hocks and smoked kielbasa to get the smoky flavor.

I am smoking a 15# fresh Ham for Christmas Eve, Going to trim and save the bone for Big ole pot of Beans on New Years day!!!

I love that stuff. I buy the 15 Bean mix in the store and follow recipe on package.

I'm going to soak a package overnight and use some homemade anduouille sausage in it.

I can hit every note on the scale after eating a bowl of that stuff!

Yea man. Bean soup of any kind. I ate a lot of 15 bean soup at the firehouse for many years. It was a staple in the wintertime...or whenever it got cool in S. FL. Some cast iron pan cornbread to go with it. Yum.

I increased this recipe by 50%. Like I said in my post, I used smoked pork hocks and smoked Kielbasa instead of ham and I threw in a tblsp and a half of smoked paprika to kick it up a bit. Pre soaked the beans for 12 hours in salt water and there was no gas that developed.
