Default Where to rent in Palm Beach- Young Professionals moving to the area

Currently living in Miami and girlfriend just landed a job in Wellington.
May be moving to Palm Beach and not being familiar with the area where are some enjoyable places to live?
I fish frequently and will be taking my boat but fine trailering as renting a space with a lift seems to be out of the budget.
Prefer somewhere with a little space as I would like to stay away from condo and I have 2 mid size dogs I would like to have a yard for along with a place to park the trailer.

Thanks in advance.

I would prefer to stay below $2500.00 and if possible less than 2K.

How far you willing to commute? What sort of lifestyle are you into?

If you can swing a little more, a friend has a house to rent on Singer Island for 3K/month.

Not sure how far your girlfriend wants to commute but North Palm has some cool pockets and you could find some deals. Flamingo park is an up and coming neighborhood just south of downtown. Lake worth also has a few pockets that are nice and reasonable. Those are all close to the coast. You'll get way more house and peace and quiet the further west you go.

Any of the letter streets in Riviera Beach. If you want to be in West Palm Beach proper check out Tamarind Ave. It has a lively night life.

The more west the cheaper it will be. I live east of 95 close to downtown. 2,2 townhouse here in my neighborhood rent for 2200. 3,3 go for 3k. they do have garages, no boats allowed. I know people trying to get in.

Damn WPBTH... I'm only getting 1850 for my 2/2 in there and I thought that was the highest in that community. I need to hire you to get me a tenant at 2,200!

I would look at North Palm, Palm Beach Gardens and Jupiter.
Those areas may be more of a commute than she wants so I'd definitely check that out first. My son lives in Jupiter and commutes to Wellington. He has no issue with the drive time. He loves the Jupiter area and there are a lot of young professionals in the north county area.

Ideally you would want to be in Jupiter, but I do believe the commute will be too much...up to you though.
Wellington is very nice if you can find a place for the dog and trailer...will be hard to find as Wellington is full of HOA's.
The suggestion of Loxahatchee/Acreage is a good one; close to wellington and you should be able to find a yard.

All good suggestions above. FYI regarding Wellington: There are a few older neighborhoods with larger lots and no HOA. We have a 1/2 acre with the boat on a trailer on the side of the house. Not quite as far west as Lox/Acreage, but there is more regulation from the Village of Wellington which can be good and bad. Great schools. Good luck with your search.

I work in Wellington and travel from College Park in Lake Worth. Going out to Wellington, I take Southern and the traffic is pretty smooth. Going home can be pretty slow, once you get passed Southern and 441 traffic moves pretty good till you get near the airport, then it slows down again.

I keep my boat in my driveway and close to several ramp.

That's all going to be over his budget. If GF is working in Wellington Acreage/Lox would be a good spot. Wellington from Jupiter is an hour drive with traffic. Can probably find a house on an acre for 2K-2500K in Lox.

If you wanna move into the area while looking for a permanent rental, I would rent my 2/2 house in Lake Worth for couple of months. Traveling to Europe with the fam, would rather not have it sit empty. Cheap. No HOA, park what you want, fenced in yard. Good place to get you some time to explore other options, so you don't end up committing before you experience the area.
