Default Marsh Harbor: Bait & DampRid/No Damp?

Next trip to Green Turtle is in May via Marsh Harbor airport. Does anyone know a good place to get bait and DampRid/No Damp in the area? Thanks!

There’s a tackle store just before boat harbor that might have bait.

For damp rid, try maxwells or the big hardware store. My guess is that it will be very expensive!

There are multiple marinas that sell bait throughout Green Turtle. I wa there last summer in July just after what some claimed to be the busiest week ever on GTC (July 4th 2018) and there was bait everywhere. This is frozen chunk bait and who knows how old. But if not bringing bait with you this is what you are likely after anyway. I called multiple places repeatedly before my trip just to make sure they had be there in every single place a shirred me they had plenty. When I got there the comments were confirmed. Do not expect awesome trolling baits he rigged I called multiple places repeatedly before my trip just to make sure they had be there in every single place a shirred me they had plenty. When I got there the comments were confirmed. Do not expect awesome trolling baits prerigged. Definitely expect great supply of reef and bottom frozen stuff for chunks. Just to be sure I am not full of it, make sure you call in advance to ensure there are not any major differences between my trip last year and yours. If they tell you they are good to go they probably are.

Just for my edification, what does DampRid have to do with bait?

I have bought DampRid in bulk at Publix in the cleaning section that I use in my truck since it only moves on the weekends.

funny! They are not related other than I need both of them. I like to keep a couple fresh DampRids on the boat for when I am not using it. I have a 32’ express. The cabin can smell a little funky if I don’t use the moisture absorbers. I store my boat in the Abacos and only get to use it 4-5 times per year so when I am there I want my cabin smelling fresh.
