Default Water temp in Keys in 60s

So water temp in Keys Wednesday was 68 degrees for the first 8 miles running out. How often does that happen?

What was it when you cleared the reef? Seems about right this time of year.

LOL. Been fishing out of the Keys for 5 years, and never seen it 68-69 degrees 4 miles past the reef. Out from Channel 2. Maybe I'm just an idiot.

Little short of the stream. North wind for a while. By the time I got to the 409 (maybe 18-19 miles out?), it was up to 74-75. Today NOAA says stream is 24 miles south of Sombrero Light, and 15 miles south of Alligator.

Shallow water cools quickly with north winds (happens all the time)
The temps rise rapidly when front passes
