Anyone has a recommendation for a parking for a truck and trailer near West Palm Beach for a week?

I park at Lake Park. Just be careful, my 1st crossing I returned to a missing tailgate. Then I learned a tailgate on a F-350 cost more than my 1st 2 vehicles combined.

Crossing Lake Worth Inlet to Abacos June 18th to 28th via West End if OBB still has fuel and customs then. Considering Grand or somewhere else as well if I head over a few days early, will figure out based on weather and schedule as the dates get closer.

29 Jupiter will run around 35mph depending on conditions, if anyone else crossing.

Just moved to Stuart. Never been to West End or Bimini by boat. Is there a site to have all your questions answered? Like rules for entering ? Places to stay with boat docking? Fishing regulations? Return to US ? How far from St Lucie inlet ?

Pleaee don’t judge. It’s not the size of the boat but how well you run it

32’ Intrepid... Coconut Grove to Abaco by way of Grand Bahama (WE or Lucaya) on the way over and around the Hole on the way back through the Berry’s. If you’ve done Abaco, it’s nice 35 mile run out of the cut at Little Harbour (Pete’s Pub) down to the Hole (don’t follow the coast line) and then another 50 miles west to Great Harbour Cay; or out of Little Harbour and a straight 56 mile run to Devil’s Backbone with 10 more miles to Valentine’s at Harbour Island. Those routes are really nice, especially if you get started early so you can arrive for lunch at either the Berry’s or Harbour Island.

I finally found a rental that could accommodate 6 adults and some kids. Place looks epic. Cliff house on lubbers. July 15-22. Boys are leaving Charleston 2 or 3 days before to run the boat down. Same same on the way home. Girls fly. Can’t wait

You will LOVE the Exumas. Imo, though, trying to do the Abacos and Exumas on the same trip would require at LEAST 14 days on the water. Soooo much to see.

mybsiggestion would be to read the last two years “official Bimini thread”. You will find just about everything you can imagine... and much more.

BTW, don’t fish in the Exumas land and sea park 🙈. That’s all I can tell you 😂

Planning our trip for 3/16-3/21 to Abacos. Most likely staying in Treasure Cay. Dads and older boys are boating from LWI to West End. The girls and younger kids will take Ferry from Fort Lauderdale to Freeport.

Would love recommendations on whether to have them taxi or shuttle to us at the west end, OR should we pick them up on the boat in Freeport and cut through Grand Lacayan Waterway? The option of the girls riding with us isn’t happening so let’s leave that off the table.

Navionics autoroutes me from Freeport back to West End and around the North and I want to make sure I’m not missing something. Looks shorter to cut through the waterway and run north to the channel but perhaps there’s backtracking required that I’m not seeing.

I ran through the waterway last summer, but like you say autoroute has you going around for some reason. There was no problems cutting through just follow the markers exiting to the N side. Unfortunately the crossing was a better ride than running around on the bank for my trip. It blew a solid SE-25. It was one long wet ride to Treasure. Lol

So do you think it was quicker? Or hard to tell with those conditions? I guess that raises another question, I didn’t think the north bank got too rough. What winds should we be monitoring for that run?

If you’re considering going through the Grand Lucayan Waterway, check out this video I shot last summer.

It should give you a good idea of what it’s like to take that route.
