I like Pepe's cafe for breakfast and for a quick lunch it is hard to beat a sandwich from 5 Brothers.

Default Best Cuban Sandwich

I cant remember the name of the little sandwich shop but its inside the M and M Laundromat on White Street near Flagler St.

Best Cuban I ever had, except my old girlfriend Odalis.

Haven't been in a while but I believe you are speaking of Sandy's.

El Siboney in KW. Not touristy. Excellent Cuban!

Another vote for El Siboney and Geiger Key Marina. If I eat nowhere else when I go down it’s at one of those two places.

blue heaven and louie's are sort of "must do's" for dinner. i agree with the statement that they're not exceptional but they are very good and have become popular for a reason.
we like sandy's and frita's for lunch / tacos
the hop-on-hop-off trolly will be good for your group (assuming the 75-yr old can manage the trolley steps)

Lattitudes. I am always happy there if you want spendy.

Not spendy... there are ton of places. The only place that people love that we didn't care for was Hogfish Grill.

seconds here for Louie's, Santiago's and Blue Heaven (especially breakfast). I have also really enjoyed Michael's on William St.
It's authentic KW and they have "half" orders available on some entree's which the ladies may appreciate.

Hear what you are saying about Hogfish, we find go a little later when its not packed, only order the Lobster Bisque and whatever fish you liked blackened. Any of the fish dishes not blackened are usually disappointing.........

I always thought blue heaven was waaaay over rated. Fire Fly which is one the same street has killer biscuits and gravy.

Key West, like most tourist destinations, is full of mediocre restaurants. The Key West difference is that you have the pleasure of routinely paying $30+ to be underwhelmed. Blue Heaven is the pinnacle of Key West "meh."
