Crossed back to pompano today. Left at 7:30am hit the inlet at 10:00. Easy 4'-5' out there. Safe but NOT fun. Don't know if I would travel east today.

Make sure you're paying extra attention and/or get to the ramp realllllyyy early on that Thursday. Second day of lobster mini-season.

My issue, if it were me, is that if there is a problem, everyone on the boat is screwed. I'm not really sure what that particular brand of screwed would look like... ranging from being turned away, to spending a ton of time on the phone trying to come up with a solution, to jail (probably being way over dramatic).

Just not a risk I'm willing to take.

Follow the rules or don't come on my boat.

Best of luck!

Jeff
If under 18, you can get in with a birth certificate.

Good to know.

Do you have any link or reference to verify that that is an official and current policy?

Thanks,

Jeff

Not true unless its something thats new. I tried that route about 7 years ago when my girls were young, they are 12, 11, and 7 now. Back then i was told they all needed passports, no matter what the age. They let us in that one time, but were very stern on makng sure we understood this was a one time deal. They all have passports now, because we go over at least 10 or more times in a year, mostly to bimini, but sometimes the abacos in the summer.

Default Bimini

Had a blast this past week in bimini. Caught tons of yellowtail and triggers. Deep dropping was good with plenty of grouper and yelloweye snapper. Made it up to the north and found some tuna, dolphin and released a 300 lb blue marlin. All in all it was a great week fishing bimini

Someone must have made an exception for you or they recently changed the rules. In any case, you are required by law to have a US Passport to return to the US and it must be entered into the DHS app.

Default Port royal food

If anyone is going to bimini anytime soon and looking for something to eat in port royal. Thirsty turtle has the best pizza I’ve ever put in my mouth. The locals were the ones that suggested we get the pizza. Wow they were right. I almost ordered 4 to take back to the states lol

Blueprint,
We were staying across the canal from y’all. We tried to go to the turtle to grab a late lunch but it was closed. When did you go?

I am curious has any one on here hired a guide for yellow eyes from Bimini ? If so I am curious as to some names and a idea of what they charge for the day ? I just got back from Bimini / Great Isacs and did well on the grouper / yellowtails and dolphin .

Don’t need a guide. Just watch other boats. That’s what I did. We caught some in 800-900 ft Friday. Some groupers mixed in too
