I must have missed something which would sway me to your way of thinking (minus wishing someone gets ill). Can you quote where the person said they would allow anyone to drown? Maybe they deleted the post?

Dade county thinks they run the state, and their shit doesn't stink. Has anyone noticed all the people moving north to get away from that area? Individuals born and raised in Miami decades ago are fleeing north...ask THEM why?
ypu specifically questioned how much the rescue operation cost for no reason other than to question why it was done. See post 40 comepingona.

you always seem to say the same thing, that we think that dade county runs the state. it must burn what's left of your scrotum that miami is the economic engine of the state and that we have world class doctors, lawyers, bankers and other professionals. all you small minded eunochs can only cite the negative things associated with miami, which is more a statement about you then anything else.

A tip to make THT a more fun place... Every time you see "billinstuart" try to read it as "bitterbeerface".

That's your opinion. The rest of the state sees Dade county as the rectum of Florida. But, you have essentially confirmed my contention. You THINK you have "world class" professionals, as if nowhere else is nearly as good as you. Economic engine..gimme a break. You have displayed the typical over-stated self worth which is typical for south Florida, and makes it the brunt of well deserved jokes and derision. Typical opinion of someone who probably has never left home.

You are hearing it now. You handled the situation admirably. Thank you.

This requirement is one of the oldest requirements of international law. It applies both to civil mariners presently under the 1974 International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) and for Nation States under the 1979 International Convention on Maritime Search and Rescue. The duty is spelled out in Article 98 of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea. So besides the undeniable fact that the three young men from Jupiter are wonderful and lucky human beings for having spotted the victims and then calling in the U.S. Coast Guard, the entire rescue operation was REQUIRED under international law.
Yeah, but does SOLAS specifically state that civil mariners, AND THE PRICK IN STUART, must come to the aid of mariners in distress? Otherwise, douche in Stuart is too special for laws, rules, customs, and humanity to apply to her.

Democrats.

Lots of people live in Stuart. People whose opinion I actually value. People who can read and comprehend.
