Default We have entered the "dead season" of boating

Well, no one is planning trips to the Bahamas, seems fishing has died down, kids are all back in school......

Two months of South Florida dead season are upon us.

Maybe I'll go boating this weekend!

Although most of the Abacos shuts down this month, the fishing and diving are still awesome if you can take the time to go across.
Don't be surprised to catch a few wahoos at the end of the month and normally they are bragging rights size.

Fishing never dies down. Just different seasons and different locations. Getting ready for a St John's River bigmouth bass trip.

Just a lot less morons on the water and you can have an entire island to yourself.

Wish I could! Can't make the time though.

Might do a trip to Palm Beach or Key Largo sometime soon though.

Maybe troll towards key largo and make a day of it!

If it weren't for the toxic algae I'd be out almost every weekend, I've always been more of a river rat than a deep sea fisherman.

These threads make me happy I am living on the sleepy coast. We really only have crazy days when the snowbirds are here and even then, if you stay back in the mangroves you seldom see them unless they are stuck in the mud and waving. Usually one day like that and they stay in the channel

What is the fishing like in West End now? Any good or specific species to target or have better chance at?
