The best season to fish is when nobody else is fishing IMO. So much quieter at the ramps after the tourist seasons end.

Mondays may be bad days for hunting, but they're great for fishing.

Two dolphin, one just barely a gaffer and one to go back and grow some more. Also one bonito. Big weed rafts. Never got beyond 300' of water in 2 hours of trolling. Plan on a longer day tomorrow.

Todays is my anniversary so my wife wanted to get home early while we still had some energy left. After washing the boat, a few beers and a shower we barely got thru the pizza. We getting old...

It’s dead season because we’re all busy checking Tropical Update on the Weather Channel 9 minutes before the hour every hour on the hour until the end of October.

Returned from West End yesterday - 1st time there - stayed at BMC and we were the only boat/people there for the 3 days. Dead season for sure - met a few people next door at Bootle Bay Lodge - what nice people - Vida (the owner) and Linda who has been there for 17+ years are amazing - they treated us like family, especially when compared to the likes of most of the Biminites that seem to hate their lives. I will be going back soon for Wahoo season. We bottom fished and it was off and on due to the barracudas and sharks. Weather and seas were amazing - glass for all 3 days. On the way back to Hillsboro Inlet yesterday, about 33 miles offshore there was a convoy of naval ships heading south (I heard a couple of days ago they were putting out to sea almost 30 naval ships out of Virginia due to the Hurricane. Aircraft carrier followed by a battleship (probably a few miles apart) and another off in the distance. We were monitoring ch. 16 and it was pretty cool listening to the chatter between the ships.
