We are very fortunate on our west coast to have numerous restaurants, watering holes, grocery stores and a McDonald's that we can boat to and dock up.
Add a new destination to your outing. Sea Dog Brewery opened in Treasure Island back in October 2017. Its in the old Capt Kosmokos location. In July they opened 6 new docking spaces and have plans for more. The restaurant is a class act and the food is excellent!
Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

We have a gift card for the Sea Dog, have to give them a try!
Another newer place in the area is the Harbor Master at Bay Pines Marina. I've eaten there a couple of times and have been pleased. https://www.facebook.com/harbormastertiki/

I miss the west coast for that reason! We are screwed over here on the east coast!

Do they have space for a 37 ' CC ?
Went to Getaway. They were totally disorganized, tried to charge us double on a bottle of wine. We walked out. I am sure they can do better but I will need a serious excuse to go back.

If you're a member of SPYC, go to Tampa Yacht Club. If you haven't been recently, they expanded their guest docks, and built a new, open air bar that's really nice. I also poke down to Bradenton Yacht Club on occasion, and when I get real spirited, go down to Sarasota Yacht Club and walk down to St. Armands.
Getaway on Gandy is pretty reliable food-wise. It'll probably take the Maximo location a while to spool up. Fishtales is, well, Fishtales. I haven't been to Hula Bay in forever. There's also Circles in Apollo Beach. Tierra Verde Island Grill is really good too, and they're expanding their docks as well. Lots of options really.
Do the docks at Sea Dog fill up pretty quickly? I'd hate to run all the way over there from NE St. Pete., only to find the docks full.

We have been to Sea Dogs twice on a weekend around 1pm and had no problem getting a space. They have a dock boy to assist in docking. If coming in from Blind Pass remember to lower your antenna for the bridge. (no need to ask me why)
The docks can easily handle large boats.
Note: The current rips through there on the tide changes.
Enjoy!

Went out on Saturday and hit the new Maximo Getaway, and while over in that neck of the woods, decided afterwards to check out Sea Dogs as well. No problem getting a spot at either place. I found the food at Getaway was fine. At Sea Dog we just had a couple of beers which were very good indeed.
Nice to see new places opening on the water, or having docks installed. There's a lot of demand around here I'm sure.

Went to Sea Dog last weekend with my uncle on his Sea Hunt Edge. He tried going into the slip closest to the bridge and missed because of the current. He then drifted into the bridge and left a nice dent in the rub rail prior to getting lined up again. Definitely try to get the slips on the right if the tide is pushing out!
