Just about to turn the 100 hr mark on my twin 150's. Looking for a reputable Yamaha certified shop. Looks like my choices are Central Marine, Thunder Marine or Pro Marine. Anyone have a preference?

I've used Central for a service and Pro Marine to replace my lower unit after a mishap in the Keys. Customer Service wise, Pro Marine hands down. About the same on price but the customer service was top notch from Pro Marine.

I've used Central Marine, and they're top-notch, however they did crack the cowling on the Yamaha F250 on my last boat by not re-positioning the gasket. I also tried Stellar Marine, but I wasn't thrilled with the work environment there a few years ago. Not sure if it's changed. Last time, I had the boat pulled at a high-and-dry, put on a work rack and did the work myself. I don't have a trailer anymore, so either I pay $130 for the marina, or $100 for Central to pull it. This time I'm going to give Pass-A-Grille Marina a shot, as I can run over there and have them pull it with the fork lift for free. They're a 5-star Yamaha warranty center, so we'll see.

For the last 4 years, I've taken my Hewes skiff and Robalo 240 (former Yamaha 90, latter twin 150 Yamahas, all 4-strokes) to PAG and they've been absolutely great. Not once did they suggest unnecessary service beyond what I asked (makes my skin crawl when someone is looking to pad the bill), and the work they did was flawless. The kind of guys you'd have beers with after. Could not recommend more. (But I do recall they did charge maybe 25 bucks to pull the boat.)

So it turns out, a good friend of mine, knows the service manager at Central Marine. We're having lunch Weds, and then stop by and make an introduction.
Thanks for the tips, I'll keep Pro Marine in mind too, I'm really close to both of those shops.

To piggyback on this, I am thinking of selling my I-4 200s (have about 450 hours on them) as they still have a year+ of warranty on them, keeping my XCA controls, and upgrading to some new F300s. Do u think Central or Pro could handle all of this including finding a buyer for the 200s and then charging me the difference?

Central is good and they went out of their way to make sure issue got taken care of right before my warranty expired. But jimbo Newman is the best off Ulmerton.

Big fan of the guys over at Thunder, a little pricey but they'll get the job done right with a quick turnaround. Central is great as well but last time I tried going for maintenance they told me they were booked solid for a month or more.
