Default Best Website/Place to Rent a Home for Vacation in the Keys

My family and I (wife, two daughters age 15 and 10, and my parents) are going to be going to the Keys for Thanksgiving in 2019. I know it is a long way off, but I want to book now so I can get a place I want. We are wanting to rent a house for a week. I have used VRBO many times to rent homes. I like the convenience, but I am not fond of the fees they charge. So, any ideas on best places to rent through?

If a THT fine fellow or lady has a home they rent, I am cool with that too. I know the Keys has some different rules on renting. We are currently looking at Marathon since I know they allow weekly rentals. We are open to anywhere. We are looking for low key, not big city. Walking distance to neat places would be cool. We love to hang around and relax on vacation. We are looking for a 3BR and at least 2BA. We much prefer a pool, hot tub, and dock. I will be probably renting a boat for a few days while down there. I would say up to $450 a night would be ok.

THT has not let me down yet, so I look forward to any advice ya'll can give.

Use VRBO Web site, Key Colony Beach in Marathon will have a house for you.

No pool or hot tub (cant say I have ever seen a hot tub in the Keys) but everything else.

Here is an interactive video, PM me if any questions. Thanks.

We are renting a place in 3 weeks at Indigo Reef. Booked through Coco Plum Realty. We have about the same group make up as you. I would be happy to report back and let you know how it goes

Florida Keys Vacation Rental Home | Marathon | Island Breeze Vacations

I rented through these folks for mini season last year and again this year. We rented a year in advance and the house we scheduled to stay in lost its dock and had some damage. They upgraded us to a larger home for the same price. We had no issues with deposits or the description of the place we rented last year and feel like this year will be the same.

Thanks for the info guys! I found one I paid the deposit on this morning. After talking to my parents and wife, they took more space and buffer from neighbors over the villa areas or in town. We ended up with renting one in northern Marathon on the gulf side. House has a pool and a long dock with lots of trees buffering between neighbors. Thanks again!

I know you put the deposit, but our house is in my signature, has everything you're looking for except hot tub. If not, the website has many other choices, including the ones that posted above. Enjoy!!

Ricci, is your house available for rent for less than a week, probably 3 nights? Thanks.

Can't, city ordinance is 7 days, they don't want us taking business from the hotels I guess.

Hi there,

Is the house still available for rent? We are looking for a spot for July 2019 for a week. I do not see the link you mentioned.

Thanks
