Well I haven't been able to fish much this year. But I'll give it a shot tomorrow. I'll run out to about 125 ft see what happens.

Solo trip this morning to 75 ft west of Anclote.

Caught a keeper red snapper on my second drop in 75 ft. Then gave a bunch of bait to the short red grouper, grunts, a gag, and another short red snapper.

So after 1.5 hours of fishing, I said screw it and headed in. Ran about 8 miles and I see a boat with a dive flag up about 1/4 mile off. Look at my chart plotter and I see i have 2 spots marked in the area. So I say ok. One more stop. Pull back on the throttle and drift on nothing in particular. The machine is just showing hard bottom. So I drop a bait. 4 cranks off the bottom and it gets slammed. 20 inch red snapper! Ha! Got dinner and then some!

Went out Sunday night ....sabikid up a lot of threadfins and put them on ice....my livewell is good for anything but...also got a bunch of pinfish, pigfish and grunts...

Headed to 140' west of Bunces pass and the first spot was good enough to spend the night on...and the morning bite came back once we started using the threadfins.

The ARS on top is 25"...and we got two of them...our big gag under the rest of the fish was 29"

Here are a few pics: my nephew is holding a 29" gag and my wife has a 26"

Did 112 miles today - ran to some spots in 55 feet off Hernando that was loaded with ARS and big gags 3 weeks ago. Nothing but a few hogs and 1 gag. Moved to a new spot I've never checked before in 72 feet off Pasco/Hernando and discovered a spring LOADED with fish. It was heavenly. Limited on ARS and gags quickly, cleaned up some lionfish, got a few more hogs and mangos.

Could have caught/speared 30 more ARS there. Insane.

Some of our gags were over 27" and the ARS were monsters.

I had to work for our limit of ars today . 2 weeks ago I caught about 30. I went to about 130' out of John's pass
Had a good bite in the morning then slowed down until about 330. Ended up with full box of snapper but no keeper grouper today.

Heading out in the AM, couldn't make it on open day, darn. After reading all the post and the seeing the pictures, got to take a sick day and head out , will be-fishing 70 to 80 ft of water NW of Anclote. Wish I had the location of the spring where grey2112 cleaned up today, Impressive haul.

Nice fish everyone!

We got our 5 man limit but it was not a wide open bite. Our first stop was a 24 inch ARS a 25 inch gag and the tax man shut it down. Damn bull sharks.
After the limit of ARS I went to an area where we had been catching 6 man limits of gags. Picked a couple more but the gumbo was terrible. Baits coming up totally covered in snot. There was no gumbo in this area 5 days ago.

Was it my imagination or was it hotter than hell? I had to put the wash down hose on a couple of the customers.
