Default Rosie's Condition

Last we at Rosies, it was tough for fuel and worse for power. Good people but the place needed love. I've heard they have a new fuel barge. What about the pumps? I remember the gasoline being very slow. What's the condition of the shore power? Just looking for some updates as we are headed over early next week for a few days

We were there in mid-April a few weeks ago. The pumps are still slow - especially when the tanks are low. Repairs/renovations on the fuel dock that were started a few years ago with the new seawalls, etc. seem to have stalled out from what I could tell and no cap has been poured. You can sometimes get fuel from Mad Max so that's another option.

Planning to head that way next weekend. Will want fuel, or have to run south to West End on the way home. Should I call the day I leave and check on fuel availability? Or just hope for the best? Ballpark what is the $/gal?

Don't need a room will stay on the boat.

We were there last year for a couple of weeks and the Gas was almost $6/G, not sure about the Diesel. Given that the prices have gone up I would expect it to be in the $6+ range. Note if you are staying on your boat there are no Marina bathrooms or showers. I wish that they did because we stayed on the boat as well and a I hate using the head if I don't have too and it's nice to get a real shower instead of hosing off in the cockpit ;-). DO love the place though - its Old Bahamas the way it used to be. The fishing was like cheating and almost no competition for the resources. Every head you popped in on there was something you wanted to kill or take a photo off. The trolling was sublime with us catching every time we tried - even bottom fish on the troll through the channels to the ocean. I'm talking reliable bottom fish on the troll (Muttons and more) through Seal Cay, Strangers, and Moraine channels

Has anyone been to Rosie's recently? We have been trying to contact them for several months to make reservations for June, but no luck. If anyone has contact info or other suggestions for Grand Cay dock and hotel, it is greatly appreciated.

Have you tried calling Josey Wales Lodge 2427270529 is the last number I had for him, not sure if it's still current.

Try Maxwell at Club Med also, definitely better service than Rosie's in my experience. This is the last # I have for him: 242-439-2045

Only way to contact him is his personal phone. I gave up on Rosie a long time ago. Other places to go. As mentioned, Josey Wales, Max's, Sassy's.

I haven’t stayed at Rosie’s in years. I recommend staying at Max’s. Clean fuel, ice, usually has rooms available and great customer service. Last time I was there I got fuel and was on my way before a sole could be found at Rosie’s.

I heard it is tougher to find lodging there due to the construction going on building Chris Kline's place on Big Grand. Anyone know about that?
